Gruffies & Guest Challenge #26 A Splash of Orange for Henry

The Gruffies and Guests Challenge for february is a splash of orange, it could be a tiny hint of orange or a lot. I love the colour orange combined with purple and/or yellow, so I used these colours on my card. I created my own background with balloon stamps and coloured them with a waterbrush. With such a strong background you don't need to add a lot of extra stuff on it to make the card shine. Could not resist adding a short sentiment with balloon letters. Hope you enjoy this splash of orange.

House Mouse Challenge #214 Easter brights

Could not resist making a bright version of my Easter pastel card I made for the House Mouse Easter Challenge. I did not want to make the same card, just diffrent colours so this time I used my square dies instead of the circles. I also choose a diffrent flower, this mouse is taking a nap in a field of tulips (how Dutch of me LOL). I was making a stack of tulips so next time I can grab a few. The down side of prepairing a stack is that time flies by so quickly. Before I knew most of the day was gone. Hope you like my bright version.

House Mouse Challenge #214 Easter pastels

I love Easter time, but I find it hard to make a card for this occasion. Not because I don't like making them, but I just don't know who to send one. Nonetheless I got excited for this House Mouse Challenge with Easter theme. Got this lovely stamp of a mouse that is taking a nap on a big Easter egg. For this card I used only soft pastel colours. I used my circle dies and some spring flower dies, my machine had to work hard too for the card LOL. I found this blue ribbon in my drawer with leftover ribbons, it was just enough. I had so much fun while making this card, maybe I will make another one with bright colours :)

House Mouse Challenge #213 Rain or Shine (shine)

Another card for the House Mouse Rain or Shine Challenge .After making my RAIN card, I wanted to make a 'SHINE' version of the card. I used the same stamp, but used more bright colours on my card. Nice flower paper for the background and lots of green and yellow. I used some paper umbrella's again because it just fits perfectly with the stamp. I like the dandelion seeds flowing trough the sky (just like the little mouse with her umbrella)The sentiment 'Hooray!' makes it a fun birthday card.

House Mouse Challenge #213 Rain or Shine (rain)

This House Mouse challenge has a nice theme: Rain or Shine. It brings up happy memories about my favourite music festival Wacken Open Air (W:O:A metal festival in Germany), their motto is 'Rain or Shine' and you can take that literally. Last year there was so much rain and mud that they made a special T-shirt for it, we got stuck in the mud on every inch of the festival. People abandoned their shoes and almost every rainboot was sold out, shoe graveyards everywhere! Luckily there are also years when there is more sun and less rain (hope for more sun this year fingers crossed). Most people refer to this festival as the best metal festival with the worst weather.

Now back to the card. When the challenge came online I knew I had to use my Stampin'Up! paper with raindrops. I recently bought a House Mouse stamp with a cute paper umbrella. I wanted to make another 'behind the window' card, I started by making the view through the window directly on the card. Stamped the image a few times and masked them with liquid masking film. When it dried I taped the edges of the card before colouring the background with ink. Made some grey rain clouds and threw on some raindrops with a brush. I made a window frame by using my square dies and behind the frame I put a piece of plastic to make it look more like a real window. Another mouse is looking at the stormy sky in front of the window, this mouse is a part of another stamp. To finish it off I used some real paper umbrella's to match it with the stamp.

Liftchallenge #101

House Mouse Challenge #212 LOVE is all around

LOVE is all around indeed, what you give is what you get. Before this new House Mouse Challenge was up I was playing around with my new Stampin'Up! products and created a lovely print on a tea cup. Because I LOVE tea I wanted to use this idea in the new House Mouse challenge. For this card I used two House Mouse stamps, one with the heart candy and another one to pop up out of the tea pot. The flower print on the tea set is not from a paper bloc, I stamped it myself. The sentiment is combined out of two stamp sets. Finished it off with a pink ribbon. Hope you like my love for tea card.
